Lockport Sectional Meet!
1 min readOn Thursday, May 12, the DGS girls track & field team will travel to the Lockport HS East Campus to compete in the IHSA Sectional meet.
Field Events will begin at 4:00 pm. Running Events will begin at 6:00 pm.
There will be 16 teams looking to qualify athletes on to next week’s State Meet. Athletes who finish either 1st or 2nd in an event at the Sectional meet will earn a spot in next week’s IHSA State Championship Meet. Additionally, any athletes that meet or exceed the State Qualifying Standards will advance to the State Meet. The Meet Program lists all of the entries and their corresponding seed times/distances.
From the 16-team field, Downers Grove South will battle with Lincoln-Way East, Hinsdale Central, Downers Grove North, Lockport, and Bolingbrook for the sectional team title.
