West Aurora Invite results

The Mustangs traveled to the Stuart Sports Complex on Saturday to compete in the West Aurora Stampede Invitational. While the top 6 runners for DGS sat out of this race, 39 other Mustangs toed the line against the other 16 teams. With a flat, one-loop course and cool weather, it was a great day to run fast. The girls proved that correct as 24 of the 39 DGS athletes were able to set season best PR’s. Full meet results can be found HERE.

In the varsity race, DGS placed 12th out of the 17 teams. Freshman, Olivia Duax, was the top Mustang finisher, placing 42nd with a great time of 18:56 over the 3-mile course. She was followed by Melissa Weidner (Fr) in 19:07, Natalie Olsen (So) in 19:08, Kara Petersen (Jr) in 19:20, Allie Cheevers (Sr) in 19:29, and Megan Albers (Jr) in 19:31.

She was followed by Hailey Rodden (So) in 20:40, Riya Bhasin (So) in 20:42, Teagan Halik (Fr) in 20:46, and Carli Smid (So) in 20:52.
