CC opens season at Yorkville

The girls cross country team opened up the 2015 season at yesterday’s Yorkville Invitational. The varsity team placed 2nd out of 7 teams while the JV team placed 1st out of 7 teams. Katie Stapleton (Jr) was the lone DGS varsity medalist, finishing in 9th place overall. In the JV race, Olivia Duax (Fr) led the way with her 2nd place finish. She was followed by fellow Mustangs Gillian Thomas (So) in 4th place, Emily Kaszyk (Jr) in 8th, and Megan Albers (Jr) in 9th. The Mustangs run again next Monday at home versus Morton and Leyden.
