JV runners finish with lots of PRs vs DGN

On Tuesday, October 20, the DGSCC JV runners completed the 2020 cross country season with a dual meet versus cross-town rival Downers Grove North. We split the 2 races with DGN winning the first race 24-31, and DGS winning the 2nd race 18-39. Sophie Nelson (Fr) led the Mustangs in the JV1 race with her 2nd place finish in 19:38. Serilda McNerney (Jr) also joined the sub-20 club with her 4th place 19:53 time. Sophie Ring (Fr), Sara Homberg (Jr), and Skyler Tomecki (So) rounded out the Mustang top 5. In the JV2 race, Amelia Biczek (Fr) took 1st place with her PR time of 21:52. Elizabeth Laverty (Fr) was only a step behind, finishing 2nd in 21:54. Bella Lapacek (Jr), Gabby Okuku (Fr), and Abbey McGinley (Fr) helped DGS finish with 5 girls in the top 6.
