May 24 Awards Banquet Reminder

A note from Coach Sanders to all of our parents & athletes:

Hello!

I can’t believe we are at the end of the track season. What a great year! I wanted to remind everyone that the Awards Banquet for the track and field season will be Tuesday, May 24th at 6:30 pm in the DGS cafetorium. The awards banquet will be a chance for the girls to celebrate the season as well as hand out awards for participating on the girls track and field team. The captains and parent volunteers have already done a fantastic job planning this event.

The Hosic family has been very generous and has donated the dinner item, but we still need a few food and drink items in order to make the night successful. Please see below as each grade level has been assigned a food or drink item.

• Freshmen:  Desserts
• Sophomores:  Appetizers or Sides
• Juniors:  Drinks
• Seniors:  Enjoy your last banquet!

Additionally, I wanted to add that uniform drop off for sprinters, throwers, and jumpers will be Monday, May 23rd right after school in the weight room. Please make sure that the athletes drop off their uniform then to avoid any further contact. Distance runners should have already turned in uniforms to Coach Plunkett.
